Joe Fabbrini opened Fabbrini Home Remodeling, located in Bedford, New Hampshire in May of 2005. Since the opening of FHR he has juggled his own projects along with “subbing” for other contractors, doing everything from foundations to flooring to framing to interior trim. Joe moved here from California 9 years ago, where he spent the previous 13 years working for only two contractors – an indication of the confidence his employers had in his work. By the age of 22, Joe was already a Job Foreman. Joe’s ability to wire and plumb homes, in addition to his attention to detail, strong work ethic, and notable rapport with home owners enabled him to accelerate quickly in his field. He owes this partially to the fact that, unlike in New England, California contractors are issued a General Contractor’s License and do not need a special license to work on electrical or plumbing issues. This allowed him to establish a broad base of knowledge of all aspects of the industry in short period of time. Another difference between New England and California are the inspections. In California there were many more inspections. “Here, you only have three or four inspections during the construction of an entire house,” he explains. “There, you have that many before you even finish pouring the foundation. They check every nail in the building. They check the screws. They check the sheetrock.” Because of this experience, Joe has a strong eye for detail with a perfectionist attitude.
Joe’s main specialty is retrofitting houses, including checking for structural issues that might affect the integrity of the overall building. When hiring a contractor, Joe believes reliability and the highest quality of workmanship are both central to a business.
